Leadership and Legacy: S Ravi BSE Chairman and Financial Expert

Mr. Sethurathnam Ravi (S Ravi) is the former Chairman of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), holding the position from November 2017 to February 2019, and is the Founder and Managing Partner of Ravi Rajan & Co., an advisory and accountancy firm based in New Delhi, India. S Ravi BSE has a Postgraduate degree in Commerce and a diploma in Information System Audit (DISA). He is an Associate Member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE), USA, and is also registered as an Insolvency Resolution Professional.

Appointed by the Government of India and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Mr. S Ravi Bse  chaired the Technical Experts Committee for Punjab & Sind Bank’s Strategic Turnaround. He is currently a director at the Tourism Finance Corporation of India Ltd. Additionally, he was appointed by the Government of India to the Strategic Revival Group for UCO Bank, where he played a key role in formulating and implementing the bank’s revival plan. He has also served as Chairman of PNB Mutual Fund.

Mr. S Ravi Bse has been a director on the boards of over 45 esteemed institutions, including LIC, BHEL, IDBI Bank, and ONGC. He has worked with various public sector undertakings (PSUs) and private sector banks, serving on their audit committees, strategic revival committees, and risk management committees. With more than three decades of experience, Mr. S Ravi has deep expertise in banking, finance, and financial and management consulting. His expertise spans mergers and acquisitions, valuations, restructuring and rehabilitation of companies, turnaround strategies, and the auditing of companies and banks.

A frequent speaker at regulatory bodies like ICAI, RBI, and SEBI, Mr. S Ravi is also passionate about sports, women’s equal rights, global climate change, and education for all.
